ASSALAMUALAIKUM WARAHMATULLAHI TA’ALA WABARAKATUH.
DEAR RESPECTED BROTHERS & SISTERS IN ISLAM.
JUST A SHORT NOTE TO REMIND ALL OF US SOLELY FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH SUBHANAHU WA TA’ALA.
Muslims regard the Noble Qur'an as the literal word of ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, as revealed by the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). The revelation was made in the Arabic language, and the recorded text in Arabic has not changed since the time of its revelation more than 1400 years ago. Although modern printing presses are used to distribute the Noble Qur’an Qur'an worldwide, the printed Arabic text of the Noble Qur'an is still regarded as holy.
In addition, when one is not reading or reciting from the Noble Qur'an, it should be closed and stored in a clean, respectable place. Nothing should be placed on top of it, nor should it ever be placed on the floor or in a bathroom. No one is to walk-over it and leave it locked somewhere to be forgotten later and to let it gathering dust.
Muslims often use a wooden book stand (rihal) when reading the Noble Qur'an, to keep the holy book off the floor. The Qur'an may also be held on one's lap or on a table.
In summary, Muslims believe that the Noble Qur’an should be handled with the deepest respect. However, ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala All-Merciful and we cannot be held responsible for what we do in ignorance or by mistake. “ Allah does not burden any soul beyond its endurance. For it is what it earns, and against it is what it commits. “Our Lord, do not condemn us for what we forget, or err. Our Lord, do not levy upon us the (kind of) burden You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, do not impose upon us a burden that is greater than our strength to withstand. Pardon us, grant us forgiveness, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector! Grant us victory over the nation of unbelievers!” ~(Noble Qur’an 2:286)
Transliteration:
[Noble Qur’an 2:286] La yukallifu Allahu nafsan illa wusAAaha laha ma kasabat waAAalayha ma iktasabat rabbana la tu-akhithna in naseena aw akhta/na rabbana wala tahmil AAalayna isran kama hamaltahu AAala allatheena min qablina rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi waoAAfu AAanna waighfir lana wairhamna anta mawlana faonsurna AAala alqawmi alkafireena
Arabic (from right to left):
2:286 لايكلف الله نفسا الا وسعها لها ماكسبت وعليها مااكتسبت ربنا لاتؤاخذنا ان نسينا او اخطانا ربنا ولاتحمل علينا اصرا كما حملته على الذين من قبلنا ربنا ولاتحملنا مالاطاقة لنا به واعف عنا واغفر لنا وارحمنا انت مولانا فانصرنا على القوم الكافرين
Therefore, there is no sin in Islam on the person who mishandles the Noble Qur'an by accident or without the realization of wrongdoing.
ALLAH KNOWS BEST!
SUBHANALLAH!!! ALHAMDULILLAH!!! WALA ILAHA ILLALLAHU ALLAHUAKBAR!!!
